Please keep me posted. I have not been to Colombe or Christophe - will try those when I return. Your Midi Conseil reviews are inspirational if you ask me! I think I can actually go next Tuesday.

As for restos: been to La Colombe or Christophe? Both BYO and delicious.Marcushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02221624021529319291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18717316.post-14583795265215281102007-06-18T15:18:00.000-04:002007-06-18T15:18:00.000-04:00I just stumbled upon this great video of the Nantu...I just stumbled upon this great video of the Nantucket Wine Festival. If you are tired of the wine thing, how about blogging a few Montreal restos? I could use some suggestions...
Sorry for the delay, but here are this week's 'midi conseils' notes: actually a pretty good one this week. The Frederic Mabileau is a pretty good St-Nicolas de Bourgeil - I never drink red Loire, so this was a neat find ($20) - juicy fruit, crisp acidity, a bit tart, but a good price. Next was a 100% Graciano from Ijalba (Rioja) - there is a reason this is a blending grape - avoid this one, unless you have a morbid curiousity for Graciano - from my notes "vin de table at a premium price". Next was a Raymond Reserve Merlot from Napa - this was a pretty good new world merlot for $26. Last was the Kanonkop Pinotage - $42, but a very nice wine - I have enjoyed this every time. Very wild, rustic, interesting - would be a great match for game.
Cheers!Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07747056255576335926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18717316.post-39483293530066577402007-06-17T18:51:00.000-04:002007-06-17T18:51:00.000-04:00Hello! This is my first time commenting

I could not agree with you more regarding planting chardonnay in Italy (or anywhere else, for that matter). I lament the international varieties supplanting all the wonderfully diverse regional and traditional wines across the globe. I think humanity would lose something precious should these types of wine disappear to more 'corporate' tastes.

I'm glad you decided not to quit blogging.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
